We’re looking for a People & Performance Coordinator ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll join our high‑performing People team at an exciting time of growth within our leading financial services firm. At FirstCape, we’re committed to developing our people, with plenty of scope to grow. You’ll start by supporting People & Performance operations and core processes, with opportunities to get involved across the full range of People initiatives as your confidence builds. We’ll provide full training from day one, and you’ll bring a solid understanding of People policies, strong organisational skills, a great work ethic, and a proactive, solutions‑focused approach.
Key Responsibilities | Ngā Kawenga Mahi
- Manage day to day HR administrative tasks such as employee records maintenance, documentation, and file management to ensure accurate and up-to-date employee information.
- Monitor the P&C Inbox with incoming enquiries from the business, ensuring a timely response to employees, escalating where appropriate.
- Recruitment Support: Assist with recruitment activities including job postings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications.
- Onboarding and Offboarding: Support the onboarding process for new hires and ensure a smooth transition for departing employees.
- Work closely with compliance to ensure reporting obligations in relation to incoming and outgoing employees are met.
- Support the performance management process by tracking completion of goal setting and performance reviews, and providing administrative support for performance-related initiatives.
- Help prepare training materials and release HRIS modules to employees.
- Track People invoices and conduct review to ensure within team budget.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Detail-oriented and meticulous in handling tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Proactive and resourceful in problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Understanding of HR processes, policies, and best practices
- Proficiency in HRIS software and MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
