About the opportunity | Mo te whai waahi

As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in delivering complex strategic initiatives by combining strong analytical capability with practical change delivery. Working closely with the Programme Leader, you will translate business requirements into robust processes, project plans, and high‑quality documentation that support timely and effective execution. You will influence stakeholders across the business, balancing commercial needs, risk management, and operational impacts. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in cross‑functional environments and is passionate about driving continuous improvement.

This is a fixed term opportunity through to 31 March 2027 in line with current anticipated delivery dates of existing projects.

Key Responsibilities | Ngā Kawenga Mahi

  • Support and maintain a practical change and delivery strategy focused on quality, benefit realisation, and risk mitigation.
  • Analyse and interpret business requirements to design cohesive processes, documentation, and delivery plans.
  • Develop project estimates, indicative timelines, and forecasting methodologies to support effective resource planning.
  • Monitor and control project execution, including task tracking, issue management, and deliverable quality.
  • Prepare and maintain project artefacts such as status reports, risk registers, issue logs, and training materials.
  • Coordinate stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Technology, Risk, Advisory, and external service providers.
  • Construct clear and insightful reporting, visualisations, and dashboards using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Proactively review existing processes to identify efficiency, risk reduction, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Support testing strategies, training delivery, and effective handover of solutions into business-as-usual operations.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you will bring to the role | He aha ka kawea e koe ki te mahi

We require that you have:

  • Significant experience in project analysis, business analysis, or project delivery within a professional or financial services environment.
  • Proven experience supporting complex change initiatives across multiple business units.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle frameworks or methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Agile, ITIL, Six Sigma).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, practical solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence and advise at senior levels.
  • Highly developed analytical skills with strong attention to detail and numerical capability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including producing high‑quality documentation and reports.
  • Relevant project, technology, or business qualifications are advantageous
