We’re looking for a Product Manager to join our Product team, reporting to the Head of Product. In this role, you’ll drive the delivery of key product management functions across our asset management product suite.
This includes managing the launch of new funds, preparing offer documents, supporting regulatory and business reporting, and managing product related queries. You’ll work closely with operations, customer facing and digital teams across FirstCape to ensure customer processes and experiences are effective and appropriate. The role also involves maintaining key external relationships, delivering competitor insights, and contributing to the development and implementation of product strategy and change initiatives.
This is a varied role blending self directed work with work guided by others, and includes responsibility for leading projects or contributing to larger initiatives led by others.

Managing Risk
Actively monitor the product set to identify emerging or changing risks
Design and implement solutions to mitigate operational risk
Improve the design and effectiveness of end to end product processes and controls
Customer & Product Delivery
Drive key product management functions across the asset management product set, including:
Due diligence on offer documents
Collateral review and development
Query management
Internal and external reporting
Product strategy development
Model management
Competitor analysis and insight delivery
Continuous Improvement
Assist in the development of product strategy, including pricing and distribution strategies
Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure service delivery meets or exceeds expectations
Support improvements and innovations that enhance service quality and customer outcomes
Values & Compliance
Understand and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to the role
Always act with integrity, fairness, and a client first mindset
Desired Skills and Experience
What you will bring to the role | He aha ka kawea e koe ki te mahi
3+ years’ experience in financial services, particularly within wealth management
Extensive knowledge of investment, tax and legal requirements across MIS and/or DIMS
Strong understanding of the New Zealand financial services market, particularly the wealth management sector
Experience independently managing a portfolio of objectives to completion
Confidence presenting to forums and committees
At least 2 years’ experience as a Product Analyst, Junior Product Manager or similar role within a New Zealand wealth management context
A tertiary qualification in a related discipline (preferred)
