The Investment Services team is accountable for providing an exceptional client experience to our JBWere NZ Private Wealth Clients through ensuring assets and products are set up correctly with accurate pricing and investment data integrated onto the relevant business platforms, managing data integrity and monitoring transaction activity to ensure delivery of all clients reporting and tax statements are accurate and meet best practice requirements.
The team sits within the Office of the Chief Operating Officer (COO Team) which specialises in data and transaction processing across the firm, with accountability for accurate and timely data input and transaction processing. Key consumers of the team’s internal services include, Advisory and Adviser Support, JBWere management and its clients.
Key Responsibilities | Ngā Kawenga Mahi
- The Investment Services Analyst has direct accountability for ensuring all client investment data is efficiently maintained in an accurate, complete, and timely manner to provide an exceptional client experience. Success in the role will be measured by qualitative and quantitative evidence.
- Provide professional investment services to both internal and external clients, including owning external client relationships.
- Analyse and reconcile investment performance return calculations against transactions and valuations to resolve exceptions.
- Manage assets and pricing to enable accurate client valuations.
- Manage product and investment data with on-going data integrity maintenance.
- Investigate client queries to identify and resolve common problems.
- Deliver an exceptional custody client and tax reporting experience.
- Proactively identify everyday process improvements and solutions to challenges.
- A team player that has an approachable, professional, and positive attitude.
- Cross training in other functions performed within Custody and Operations.

We require that you have some or all of the following:
- Understanding of the economic environment in relation to local and global financial markets and products recommended by JBWere NZ.
- Business and industry knowledge specific to Private Wealth Management.
- Highly numerically proficient with high attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to deal with demanding time pressured situations and competing priorities.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships through an open and approachable manner.
- Service and goal orientated with a high level of drive and enthusiasm with a pro-active and self-managing style.
- Agile and adaptive with the ability and willingness to learn.
- Ability and willingness to learn new systems.
- Ability to embrace and adapt to rapid operational change.
- Degree level qualification in Finance, Business or related field or qualified by technical experience in financial services operations, either locally or globally.
- At least 2 years relevant experience gained within Banking, Finance, Insurance or Operations.
- Experience in client and asset data administration, investment pricing for valuation and performance reporting and client service-related tasks in a custodial environment.
