About the opportunity | Mo te whai waahi
We are looking for a senior business development expert to focus on managing and activating external partnerships that complement our Wealth Management capabilities, supporting our competitive positioning in the market. This role will work directly with external organisations that we currently partner with, both formally and informally, for the benefit of our clients, as well as establishing partnerships with other industry participants. The role will work directly with our Wealth Advisors to activate and expand strategic referral relationships to drive growth across the firm.
Key Responsibilities | Ngā Kawenga Mahi
- Responsible for the vitality of key external partnerships that complement our core wealth management capabilities and support our competitive positioning in the market.
- Accountable for indirect new business arising from tangible referral channels.
- Drive strategic initiatives that support long-term business growth and positioning.
- Contribute to the design of marketing and promotional collateral and campaigns.
- Maintain a market presence through social media and other marketing activity that showcases our capabilities.
- Identify, analyse and escalate issues affecting conversion, growth, and compliance in relation to business development channels and key partnerships.

We require that you have:
- Presentable, engaging and positive client and outcomes focussed demeanour.
- Able to confidently talk to wealth management sector capabilities and trends.
- Strong team focus with a proactive approach to collaborating with others, able to both directly drive progress and hand off opportunities at the right time.
- Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal.
- Problem solver, always thinking outside the box with a focus on continuous improvement of self and organisation.
- Ability to open doors and originate trusted relationships with external parties.
- Experience in the financial services sector, preferably in a client facing relationship management role.
- Experience in business development roles, ideally in financial services sector.
