About the opportunity | Mo te whai waahi

We’re seeking a hands-on, curious and solutions-focused Operations Enablement Analyst to join our JBWere Operations team. This is a growth-focused role, ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career and build toward a senior enablement, projects or business analyst role.

This role offers a unique mix of technical delivery and innovation, where you’ll design tools, build automations, and streamline processes using Excel/VBA, SQL, Power BI, and increasingly, AI. You’ll work with stakeholders across the business to identify problems, automate manual work, and deliver smarter ways of working. We know the skillset is rare, so we’re happy to invest in the development of the right person.

Key Responsibilities | Ngā Kawenga Mahi

  • Build and maintain operational tools and automations using Excel/VBA.

  • Use SQL to interrogate data and Power BI to visualise performance.

  • Deliver AI-enabled and low-code solutions using Office 365 tools (e.g. Power Automate).

  • Collaborate across Operations, Finance, Compliance, and Advisory to uplift efficiency.

  • Document, test, and improve tools to ensure robustness and usability.

  • Provide training and support to drive adoption of new solutions.

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and business change projects

Desired Skills and Experience

What you will bring to the role | He aha ka kawea e koe ki te mahi

We require that you have:

  • 2–4 years’ experience in an operations analyst, reporting, or business enablement role.

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and VBA skills (essential).

  • Basic SQL knowledge and understanding of BI principles.

  • Exposure to Power BI, Python, or automation tools (advantageous).

  • Experience or interest in AI tools and process automation.

  • Logical thinker with strong attention to detail and an eagerness to learn.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical ideas simply.

  • A collaborative and proactive approach to solving problems.
