About the Role

Our Wealth Management Associates are a key part of our Wealth Management team providing essential support to the Advisers, ensuring they run an efficient and client focused operation. The Wealth Management Associate’s role is to act as the key client contact, providing full support on non-advisory information as well as maintaining all compliance records to the highest standards to ensure we keep the Firm and clients safe.

Key Responsibilities

  • New client onboarding is a smooth and efficient process with all compliance requirements including AML processes being met and records accurately maintained to FMA regulations.
  • All clients are provided with an exceptional level of ongoing and proactive support, managing all queries involving non-advisory matters.
  • Support the adviser teams in preparing of client portfolio reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis ensuring a high standard.
  • All requested trades and settlements are well managed through close ties with relevant internal departments – including placing client and intermediary client orders directly into trading systems.
  • Requests for foreign exchange, or other financial products (as required) are processed efficiently.
  • Ensuring that Wealth Advisers are able to focus solely on managing their portfolios and bringing in new business with the administrative tasks – including telephone support and general clerical duties as required. - being well taken care of.

Technical 

  • Up to date regulatory and compliance knowledge, including AML legislation and FMA requirements.
  • A working knowledge of financial services market terminology is helpful, but not essential, as training will be provided
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are essential due to the nature of the role
  • Awareness of share registries processes – for NZ, Australia and overseas markets would be of benefit
  • A proficient working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite of programmes is essential

Previous experience 

  • Experience in the financial services sector, preferably in a client facing relationship management role
  • Strong administrative background managing a large and varied portfolio of tasks
