The Senior Manager, Wealth Advisory plays a critical leadership role in driving adviser capability, performance, and future growth. Reporting to the Head of Advisory, this newly created role within JBWere will help design future‑focused team structures, lead recruitment and succession planning, and strengthen the adviser talent pipeline. With a strong commercial and analytical lens, the role supports client strategy, business development, and adviser productivity through data‑driven insights and performance management. The role also ensures operational excellence and regulatory compliance, partnering closely with the JBWere Leadership Team and other senior leaders to embed best‑practice advisory processes.
Key Responsibilities | Ngā Kawenga Mahi
Design and implement future‑focused adviser team structures aligned to growth strategy and client demand.
Lead end‑to‑end Adviser recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning, including graduate and internship pathways.
Build sustainable talent pipelines and career pathways in partnership with People & Culture.
Supporting advisers with client acquisition, retention, and pipeline management.
Drive business development initiatives, including marketing, events, and sponsorship alignment, overseeing the central events calendar and budget.
Develop and oversee adviser training and coaching programmes to lift capability and consistency.
Prepare and deliver performance reviews, including modelling & forecasting.Drive robust performance management practices.
Partner with Risk, Legal, Compliance, and senior leaders to manage operational risk and ensure regulatory adherence.

We require that you have:
Certified Financial Adviser with strong credibility in advice‑led environments.
Extensive experience in wealth management or financial services operations.
Proven people leadership experience, including performance management and capability uplift.
Demonstrated success in recruitment, talent development, and succession planning.
Strong business development and client strategy experience within advisory models.
Highly analytical, with experience in performance reporting, dashboards, and forecasting.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to influence across senior and cross‑functional teams.
Well‑organised and outcomes‑focused, with the ability to balance commercial, people, and compliance priorities
